The infinite range of Yoga’s benefits became apparent to Lizzy when working in a pressurised office environment. Teaching the physical angle was a natural progression from her career as a dancer. Performing had missed the focus on inner balance, subtle energy, stillness, well being and much more experienced through yoga. In 1999 Lizzy took the plunge leaving stable employment study and teach yoga, the journey continues to the present day.
Lizzy practices Hatha yoga. Her style is clear and accessible offering challenges and gentle relaxation for a range of abilities and experience. The flow from one exercise or posture to the next is integral to every class.
Initially trained as a dancer in Swindon and at N.S.C.D in Leeds 1986-91 mime and theatre in London 1993-96 and in yoga at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerela, India 2001, Inner Healing School of Yoga in Wellingborough 2003-5 , Diploma to teach pregnancy yoga with Birthlight 2005, advanced level 3 2012.
Lizzy also teaches postnatal yoga for mother and baby since completing a BWY module with Sitaram 2007. In 2013-15 she has been studying with and inspired by work with John Stirk.
Lizzy trained Thai Massage with Asokananda in Thailand and this complements her yoga teaching, she also holds an ITEC certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Swedish massage.
